History of Tracked Vehicles

The early period of the 20th century saw horse drawn transport vehicles give way to internal combustion engines propelling heavy vehicles made of steel.

Traveling soft terrain with these cumbersome vehicles was next to impossible. Narrow tires lacked the flotation that was needed to support and provide the necessary traction to move a vehicle over swamps, unstable soil, and snow with constant reliability. Thus the birth of the track vehicle industry occurred.
